Birth journey
Preparation, presence, and continuity of care on the day that matters most - 2 antenatal meetings, 5 weeks on call, 2 postpartum visits for €1,500
Being on call for your birth means I am fully committed to you from 37 weeks. I am there when labour begins, I stay with you all the way through, and I visit you in the days after to help you process and settle in. In the weeks before your due date, we meet to prepare together, working through your birth preferences, comfort techniques, what to expect, and how your birth partner can best support you. As your birth doula, I complement your medical care by providing steady, continuous support for you and your partner. I am the person who holds space for your preferences, grounds you, and helps you navigate any changes in your birth journey without ever losing your voice. Whether you are planning a hospital birth, an HSE home birth, or a VBAC, my role is to help you release anxiety, trust your body and allow you to have the birth journey the way you meant to have it.
FAQ’s
Which areas do you cover in Dublin?
I support families across Dublin city and North County Dublin, including Malahide, Portmarnock, Howth, Sutton, Swords, Donabate, Clontarf, and surrounding areas. If you live slightly outside these areas, feel free to reach out during a free discovery call to see if we can make it work.
What exactly does a postpartum doula do during a visit?
Every home visit is customized to what you need most in that exact moment. Typical support includes:
Nourishing Meal Prep: Cooking hearty soups, warm post-birth meals (like my signature bolognese), and wholesome snacks.
Parent Recovery & Rest: Watching your baby so you can take a long shower, nap, or simply enjoy hands-free time.
Practical Newborn Care & Guidance: Hands-on guidance with infant feeding, soothing techniques, swaddling, bathing, and babywearing.
Emotional Support: Providing a calm, judgment-free space to debrief your birth story and chat through the early parenting shift.
Do you offer night doula support for early newborn sleep?
Yes. Night support is designed to protect your sleep during those exhausting early weeks. I handle overnight soothing, nappy changes, and baby care, bringing baby to you only for feeds if you're breastfeeding so you wake up feeling rested and supported.
I already have family nearby. Do I still need a postpartum doula?
Extended family is wonderful, but a doula brings a unique combination of professional newborn experience and unbiased care focused entirely on you. I step in without bringing unsolicited advice, taking care of household tasks, meals, and baby care so family members can simply visit and enjoy the new baby.
